Made of garbage containers, magazines and old newspapers. The aim was to create a work that represented the Woman, the Man and the Machine. In my research, I found that they have a consumer society in common. Nowadays, our society is obsessed with consumerism, to the point of affecting all the decisions we make in our lives. To articulate this concept, I chose to create illustrations using garbage packaging. I deliberately chose objects that are now useless to emphasize the contradictions in our lives.
What our children are only products of men and women. However, interestingly, children’s lives are full of simplicity. It was this simplicity in everything that children do, especially when they express themselves through drawing, that I felt was the way to express the contradictions in our consumer-obsessed lives.
